Now Hiring: Group Home Lead DSP

AT our Frankfort Group Home, Rossville Group Home & Lafayette Group Home

AVERAGE HOURS PER WEEK: 40 HOURS

The Group Home Lead DSP position provides direct supervision and training to staff and the individuals who reside in the home. The supervision and training will vary in degree of intensity based on the needs of the individual. The job responsibilities also include protecting and affirming the rights of the individuals while assisting them to achieve greater independence by creating an environment responsive to their needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years of age
Satisfactorily pass Criminal History Background Check
Provide proof of current drivers license and auto insurance
Be able to pass drug screening at any point of employment

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Working knowledge of assisting people with disabilities (after two week on the job training course)
Strong organizational skills
Effective communication skills, both written and oral

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, SPECIAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

The employee is regularly required to sit
Must be able to use hands and fingers, handle, or feel
Must be able to reach with hands and arms
Must be able to talk and hear
Must be able to occasionally stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Telephone and voicemail system
Copy machines and/or printers
Other office equipment for special projects
Be able to utilize a PC & IPad
